Spring is a fantastic time to hop on a bike and enjoy the regions great selection of cycling trails, as the weather is stunning – but not too hot. The Pāpāmoa Hills Regional Park is hiking heaven, where you can explore its cultural heritage and pā sites, or push yourself to the 224 metre summit and be treated to some of the best views of the Bay.

Playing a round of golf on the fairways in spring is an unbeatable experience, and fortunately, the Coastal Bay of Plenty offers an array of epic courses to enjoy. We have some beautiful links golf courses as well as many nine hole courses that are conveniently dotted around our region.
Among these, Ōhope Beach stands out as home to one of the most picturesque golf courses in the region. Serious golfers who want a challenge should head straight for Tauranga Golf Club or Summerhill Estate – which offers spectacular views from the top of Pāpāmoa’s hills but obscured views of their greens to add an extra layer of difficulty.
Spring remains an ideal season to fully enjoy the region's hot pools, offering a soothing escape after the chill of winter.
