Haiku Pathway

Experience the acclaimed Haiku Pathway in the heart of Katikati. The Bird Walk in particular (the sculpture walk along the Uretara River) has a good surface for wheelchairs. The pathway features over 40 haiku poems which are carved onto river boulders and is the only one of its kind outside of Japan.

You can find an accessible picnic table at Diggleman Park on Main Street in the centre of Katikati.

The Arts Junction

Call into The Arts Junction which has an accessible gallery, retail space and theatre. This is also the visitor information centre so is a great place to get maps and directions and chat to the locals.
