With over 125 kilometres of coastline on our doorstep, Te Moananui ā Toi ׀ Coastal Bay of Plenty has unrivalled access to an abundance of marine wildlife including dolphins.

We have numerous dolphin and wildlife excursions available where knowledgeable skippers and guides will take you out on the water and share their passion and insight with you. The latest tracking technology and good old fashioned instincts will help them pinpoint the right area to explore so you can get as close as possible to these magnificent creatures.

Options are available to hop in the water and swim with dolphins or stay dry and simply observe their playful antics as they swim alongside the vessel. In addition to dolphins, it’s common to spot seals, whales, sea birds, sunfish, orca, turtles and New Zealand’s own blue penguins as they go about their daily lives.
