At Harbourside, we serve modern fine dining dishes alongside a warm and unpretentious atmosphere. The ganache on the cake, you might say, is our stunning waterfront location. As you dine, you’ll take in views across the blue expanse of Tauranga harbour.

We believe there are no short cuts to sensational food. The journey to your plate and palate begins with sourcing only the finest, freshest ingredients (organic and local are given special priority) and continues with artisanal preparation. We believe, simply, in marrying exquisite flavours and letting them sing.

We treat our guests like family at Harbourside and welcoming you to Harbourside will be Owner-Managers (husband and wife team) Peter and Anita Ward, their son Cameron Ward running the kitchen and a passionate team of service and cuisine professionals we have been fortunate to attract.

We look forward to having you with us at Harbourside.

Not a very impressive experience, started off with no toilet paper in the ladies rest room, a kind lady in the bathroom complained for me, maitre unfriendly and no apology. Entree tasty but an hour wait... vension lacked seasoning and very bland... Seagulls dive bombing tables didnt make for a relaxed atmosphere .. all and all too expensive for a very average meal

We dined for lunch at harbourside and encountered the most appauling customer service experience I have ever endured. We ordered the panfried fish and it was overcooked skin on to find also scales still intact, only managing to eat half of the portion and totally unsatisfied we left to pay the bill and informed the maitredee of the quality of the meal, she then addressed the kitchen and offered us the meal complimentary which we did not expect but we're grateful for, considering the meal was sub-standard to expectation. On departure the manger approached me and said " we have given you the fish free of charge and you are so rude, there is nothing wrong with our fish! Do not come back here ever!" I have never been so astounded with such shaming pretentious service in response to critical feedback we had given and also from a manger of a restaurant. We will defiantly not be returning to this restaurant as I imagine along with many others if this is the standard of service given. You have left a very bad taste in our mouth in more ways than one.

This place seriously blew me away. The location is absolutely perfect as it overlooks tauranga harbour. The atmosphere here is warm and relaxing which is ideal for a romantical date night. Ordered their chicken dish and my partner ordered the lamb. My chicken was so delicious that I wish i ordered another plate. The chicken was tender and the seasoning on the chicken alone was amazing! The orzo pasta accompanying was so good and went well with the chicken The lamb was also delicious and was cooked really well. The service was top notch and my partner and I felt really well looked after. Would definitely be back
