Te Puke’s thriving town centre has a great variety of shops for you to enjoy.

Jellicoe St runs through the heart of this rural town and is home to around 100 different retailers with plenty of free parking right outside their doors.

Te Puke’s boutique retail area stretches for 700m or so and is easy to walk around with plenty of safe places to cross over to the other side of the wide boulevard which is lined with native puriri trees.

Most of Te Puke’s shops are independent and locally-owned so you can expect attentive service and a friendly smile wherever you go.

Fall in love with beautiful homewares and gifts from Giftrapt or Xcetera. You can spend hours browsing through their linen collections, bathroom accessories, vases, wall art and treasures for babies, children, men and women of all ages.

Shop for women’s clothing, shoes, accessories and lingerie at Lynette’s – a popular local store specialising in fashion for special occasions and smart casualwear. Just down the road you’ll find street and surfwear at Don Bayliss Clothing, or treat yourself to something special at Te Puke Jewellers.

If you need any sports equipment head straight for Sportsworld, and if you’re in the market for tiles, natural stone or timber flooring, Ceramico has a fabulous selection on offer.

You’ll find a full range of convenience and professional services along Jellicoe St, including optometrists, medical clinics, dentists, pharmacies, travel agents, real estate agencies, a florist, drycleaner and hair salons. All major banks also have branches here and you’ll find a Paper Plus stationery store and post shop inside Kiwibank to send any letters, postcards or parcels.

Te Puke has multiple discount stores and many cafes, bakeries, dairies, fast food outlets and other eateries for you to enjoy including Ella’s (an award-winning café) and Molly O’Connor’s Irish Bar and Restaurant which has a large outdoor patio – the perfect place for lunch in the sunshine.

After you’ve finished shopping, stroll through the Te Puke Heritage Walkway and relax in this sunny outdoor plaza which links the town centre with nearby Jubilee Park. Or take in a movie at the Capital Theatre located in a beautiful art deco building right in the middle of Jellicoe St.
