Explore the wilderness on a guided tramp into the remote native bush. Walks can be personalized to take from 4-8 hours. Sample native plants and meet the glow-worms. Kiwi & morepork may be heard at night. Cost includes food & accommodation.
Hike into the back hills of the bush, once there we’ll set up base at the cabin before following a series of DOC and deer tracks to land marks known to only a few such as ancient trees, hidden waterfalls, log bridges complete with Wetas, and swimming holes. Kiwi can sometimes be heard here at night, and there’ll be native fish and eels in the stream. Accommodation will be provided in a hunting hut beside the stream. Food can also be provided along with the opportunity to sample native plants.
