Autumn is a beautiful time in the Bay with settled, warm weather meaning there’s still plenty of outdoor fun to be had. While the summer crowds may have gone, the excitement certainly hasn’t – check out this amazing line-up of events heading our way this Autumn.

Mega World – The Expansive Universe of Illustration
Tauranga Art Gallery’s signature show for 2019 will transport you to an unknown landscape populated by strange creatures and unlikely heroes. From comics and graphic novels to underground illustration, animation and contemporary art.

When: 23 February – 7 July 2019
Time: 10am – 4:30pm, 7 days

Le Diner en Blanc
Le Diner en Blanc Tauranga is a stunning outdoor pop-up picnic in one of the most beautiful spots in the Bay. Dress all in white, BYO tables and chairs and prepare yourself for an evening of sharing food and time with friends. All in a secret location! And there are lots of surprises throughout the night to excite and delight…

Food for Thought
Tauranga is set to celebrate another New Zealand first as the City prepares to host the Biggest Food Rescue Festival in the country. A celebration of rescued food and our community, there will be competitive cook-offs between 6 rival teams, food stalls, market items to purchase, live music and fun for the whole family.

Gincredible
'Gincredible' is another brand-new event on the scene for Tauranga. This festival is a boutique celebration of food, entertainment and Craft Gin distilled from a small number of artisan producers.The event will showcase local food and beverage vendors, the opportunity to attend Gin masterclasses, and entertainers and musicians.

When: Saturday, 30 March & Sunday, 31 March

Tauranga Jazz Festival

World-class musicians are set to get Tauranga swinging at the 57th annual National Jazz Festival. With events from jazz cruises, a 2-day downtown jazz party, uptown jazz, hurricane soul – it’s all happening here this Easter.
