Fantastic well rounded menu, to die for food and 95% of the staff are just lovely! We had Garlic Bread and the Pulled Pork Chinese Buns as starters, the garlic bread was good but not exactly note worthy. The Chinese Buns on the other hand were worth writing home about. Was an open style steamed bun, with mouth watering pulled pork and a tasty slaw all wrapped up in a soft warm bun! The Calamari was cooked to perfection, well seasoned and tender. The Lamb main was gorgeously medium rare and melted in the mouth, Dad had the Seafood Skewers and was ordering strategically when he picked the light option (was trying to make sure he saved room for desert) and ended up with one skewer which brought a lot of amusement to the rest of us around the table but there was no sharing of his dish. Looked fresh and he ate it quickly so it must have been good! The fresh Fish and Chips was an amazing sized portion and the fish was absolutely beautiful and fresh! The Sticky Ribs were literally falling off the bone. Creme Brûlée and Homemade Ice Cream graced our table for desert and both hit the spot. Overall a fantastic night, Dads local favourite and had been talked up quite highly by said father, was expecting to be disappointed but ALAS he had bet on a winner here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND CANNOT WAIT TO RETURN.

I have eaten here twice and both times were a home run. First time I had the lamb and the second time the salmon. Both were absolutely perfect. It seems like you can't go wrong no matter what you order. The only reason I can't give five stars is because the waitress didn't seem to understand some of my families allergies and didn't know enough about what was actually in the things we were ordering. Other things I like about the restaurant are that its dimly lit, quiet, and in a great location. The presentation of the food is that of a high end fine dining restaurant - impeccable. I recommend Phil's place if you want to have a nice and quiet sit down dinner.
