At Harbourside, we serve modern fine dining dishes alongside a warm and unpretentious atmosphere. The ganache on the cake, you might say, is our stunning waterfront location. As you dine, you’ll take in views across the blue expanse of Tauranga harbour.

We believe there are no short cuts to sensational food. The journey to your plate and palate begins with sourcing only the finest, freshest ingredients (organic and local are given special priority) and continues with artisanal preparation. We believe, simply, in marrying exquisite flavours and letting them sing.

We treat our guests like family at Harbourside and welcoming you to Harbourside will be Owner-Managers (husband and wife team) Peter and Anita Ward, their son Cameron Ward running the kitchen and a passionate team of service and cuisine professionals we have been fortunate to attract.

We look forward to having you with us at Harbourside.

We came here for dinner.... Maitre D needs to acknowledge/smile or look happy when your waiting in line to be seated by her.... the waiter made up for it though he was friendly/great. We started with fabulous cocktails... they actually had alcohol in it! Started with seafood chowder which apparently was nice and not rich. Since I wanted 'meat' for my main meal and there wasn't a seafood entree that appealed (or rather no scallops or prawns or scampi) I got the grilled ciabatta bread -which was nicely grilled and I shared as there was no bread with the chowder!?! For mains we had Savannah Angus eye fillet, crusted lamb back strap and Beer battered fries. Eye fillet was cooked to perfection for me and just delicious. The lamb was yum and the couscous and eggplant with it was so tasty. The beer battered fries were crispy and yummy. Finished with a trio of ice-cream: Ferrero Roche, vanilla bean, wild berry sorbet and toasted almonds - YUM.

Beautiful location - perfect for a fancy meal or dinner. The dishes are well cooked and worth the price. Beautiful ambience and very classy. Love the salmon - crispy skinned and cooked to perfection!

Came here on a work night in TGA- as a customer had recommended and boy what a location stunning! The menus where cute new paper the waiter was friendly as can be I couldn't decide between oysters or tuna steak- so for oysters to start and waiter had to come back say weren't available ( which is fair enough labour day etc) so went for my 2nd choice the tuna and apparently the lady before me ordered the last... No impressed as I don't really eat steak etc- went for a shared Japanese style plater... And wasn't as good as a lot of places I have been but I am sure if I had oysters or tuna it would have been amazing :-) will be back and hope I have more luck
