Blokart Recreation Park
Visit the home of Blokart and have a blast on the fun, fast, compact land sailing machine. Super easy to use and fun for all ages, these machines are awesome fun when the wind blows. Blokart Recreation Park also has a new activity that is sure to impress – electric drift karts. These three wheeled machines are perfect for those of you looking to try a bit of drifting. Allow up to 2 hours at this activity.
Kiwi 360
In the heart of Te Puke, the ‘Kiwifruit Capital of the World’, is Kiwi360. Climb aboard a Kiwicart and tour through the working orchards and discover why kiwifruit, the world’s healthiest fruit, grows better in the Bay of Plenty than anywhere else in the world. Allow up to one hour for this activity.
The Kiwi360 Café and Restaurant is open daily from 10:30am-3pm. Specialising in kiwifruit fare, such as kiwifruit muffins, salads and juices, the café also offers gourmet pizzas, sandwiches and seafood dishes. Buffet lunches are also available for groups, such as an Asian buffet or good old Kiwi BBQ.
Comvita Visitor Centre
A visit to the Comvita Visitor Centre will give you an understanding of how New Zealand can produce unique health products of world-class quality. The visitor centre has an educational gallery, an auditorium and a retail outlet. Allow up to one hour for this activity.
White Island
Located 52 kilometres off the Bay of Plenty coastline, White Island is a link in a chain of volcanoes called the Pacific Ring of Fire. Take a boat or helilcopter tour around the rugged, unspoilt coastline of this active volcano. You'll see moon-like surfaces, steaming craters, flocks of sea birds and sulphur-yellow landscapes.
