Tauranga Arts Festival will be celebrated from Thursday 19 to Sunday 29 October 2017.
The Festival will be launched on Wednesday 18 October, 7am on the Tauranga waterfront with the festival commissioned waiata, Takiri ko te ata (Chorus Dawn).
Established in 1999, we are Tauranga's flagship arts Festival. We deliver a world-class programme direct from leading artists and performers at the peak of their practice. It's a live experience that you don't have to travel to Auckland for, or be living in London - it happens right here in Tauranga. This year we are celebrating our 10th Festival.
We aim to give everyone in our community the opportunity to experience world-class performances and exhibitions from New Zealand and overseas. The Festival activates the Tauranga CBD, presenting performances and exhibitions from the Carrus Crystal Palace in Masonic Park, Baycourt, the Tauranga Art Gallery and throughout the streets. But it doesn't stop there.
We show from a number of venues in greater Tauranga, Waihi Beach, Mount Maunganui and Te Puke.
The programme will be launched on Thursday 10 August at Baycourt Community and Arts Centre.
