Join us for the Legacy Lunch for 2017 and support Breast Cancer Support Service Tauranga Trust.
This year our venue will be Mills Reef Winery where the new chef has created an exciting and mouth watering menu for us.
Our theme for 2017 is 'Be True To You' and our speaker has certainly lived her life being true to herself.
Elizabeth Roberts is a kiwi pioneer - the first person to undergo a full surgical sex change in New Zealand. Her story is compelling: from a childhood as a boy certain she was a girl; serving two stints in prison (first a men's and then a women's) and establishing herself in England as a talented couture clothing designer, Liz fought to become the woman she knew herself to be in a society that didn't know how to label her. Elizabeth will be in conversation with Alison Mau who authored Elizabeth's memoir, "First Lady".
All funds raised support The Breast Cancer Support Trust in their work to support those with breast cancer in the Western Bay of Plenty.
