Come help us plant a chalk garden with all sorts of growing creations in chalk! We provide the chalk outline on the pavement - you draw and colour to your heart's content - in this public art event.
This event is part of a series of pop-up chalk art events over Spring/Summer, for children and the young at heart of all ages! Our chalk garden will close the Bay of Plenty Garden & Arts Festival and is the only child-focussed activity. Come enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon enjoying the urban gardens in the Tauranga CBD as part of the festival (tickets may be required) and join in our chalk event.
Based on the book 'Uncle Glen's Cabbages' (illustrated by local artist Sharon O'Callaghan), there will also be readings of this book during the event, and spot prizes every 15 minutes!
