BAY ADVENTURE
Enjoy an action packed day in the coastal Bay of Plenty for jetboating, 4-wheel drive excursion and a horse back ride.
Head out to Spring Loaded Fun Park in Paengaroa, an adventure park that offers a true Kiwi experience. The jet boating ride is the only one you’ll find in the coastal Bay of Plenty, which offers 25 kilometres of adventure along the scenic Kaituna River. The ride is complete with 360 degree spins to add to the journey as you wind your way into a narrow native bush clad gorge.
Adventure enthusiasts can also give a 4WD challenge a go. Longridge Fun Park has U-Drive vehicles that aim to thrill its drivers with 12 challenges on a 3 kilometre course. The cars are all professionally guided via a CB radio to ensure safety.

Next, take a drive out to historic Maketu to Briar's Seaside Ride Horse Treks. Briar is a horse fanatic, and her friendly horses can take you along the rugged Maketu Beach and over rolling green farmland with breathtaking views of the whole region and beyond.
The horses are happy, trustworthy and friendly, and they enjoy the ride as much as you will. Choose from a 1.5-hour ride along farmland with great views and a beach visit, a 2-hour trek along the beach with visits to ancient Maori pa sites or a 3-hour adventure. Along the ride you’ll see native coastal birds and animals as well as other ecological treasures and historical sites.
