Tim Burgess, General Manager

Tim Burgess has had considerable experience in a variety of roles, including communication in both New Zealand and internationally. Before starting at Tourism Bay of Plenty Tim was manager of Tourism New Zealand's international media programme, a position he held for five years. 

Prior to joining Tourism New Zealand, Tim was employed in the television industry for TVNZ’s One World of Sport, was a freelance sport producer and worked in the US and UK for Worldwide Television News. During this time he covered events such as the Sydney Olympics, Hong Kong Sevens Rugby, Formula One motorsport and the Louis Vuitton Cup.
